What is DESIGN.md?

DESIGN.md is a plain-text design system document format popularized by Google Stitch. It captures a brand's visual language: colors, typography, spacing, and tone, in a format that AI coding agents can read and apply when generating UI.

Instead of describing your desired aesthetic in prose, you hand the agent a structured DESIGN.md and it generates components that already match the target look and feel.

The catalog

DesignMD is a curated collection of brand design systems reverse-engineered into the DESIGN.md format: real hex values, actual font names, and opinionated analysis of what makes each brand's visual language distinctive. The catalog spans AI companies, fintech, dev tools, automotive, media, and consumer apps.
